A Guide for Options in Breast Reconstruction
This book is a testament to the courage of our breast cancer patients in their treatment and continuation of life. It is meant as a guide for women with breast cancer who desire information and understanding of breast reconstruction. Reconstruction involves multiple stages and time to complete. The breast cancer patient should understand the alternatives available as thoroughly as possible in order to make an informed choice.
Our goal is to impart a better understanding of breast cancer and reconstruction options. Women should understand their options, know that they are not alone, and that there is life after breast cancer.

Dr. John W Antonetti, a board certified plastic surgeon on the Medical City of Dallas medical staff, performs both reconstructive and aesthetic breast procedures, and has a special interest in reconstructive surgery of the breast. He completed his fellowship training in microsurgery and perforator flaps at Ghent University in Ghent, Belgium. Dr. Antonetti completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M.
His accomplishments include publications on topics in microsurgery, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery as well as writing book chapters on reconstructive breast surgery.
